Usage Note 12730: Manually creating HCM user XML files may not create user folders
In SAS Human Capital Management 3.1 (HCM, HRV, HR Vision), when you
create a new user by using the Manage User Attribute option of the
Configure page, HCM normally creates an XML file in the security\users
directory of the metadata server and folders in the userdata folder of
the data warehouse for each new user.
Problems have been identified when you bypass this process and
programmatically create user xml files without also creating the data
folders. You may find that the SAS system tries to write out tables or
reports to the Public data folder (PUBDATA) when the user's Private data
folder (PRVDATA) can not be located.
