The techniques are mainly aimed at intermediate to advanced programmers, although some strategies are helpful for even the most basic programs. As a fairly advanced Base SAS programmer, I found the book to be a useful review of techniques with which I'm familiar, a helpful reminder of techniques which I'd forgotten about, and a well-organized source for new efficiency savings that I hadn't yet considered."
