To determine whether
a server has been down, go to
ResourcesBrowseServers and select the server whose availability you want
to check.
On the page for the
server, an availability bar is displayed above the metric charts.
The availability bar displays a color-coded dot that represents the
availability during a time slice. The length of each time slice depends
on the display range that you select (for example, if you display
the past eight hours of data, each dot corresponds to approximately
eight minutes). The percentage of time that the resource was available
is displayed at the end of the availability bar.
The dots are color-coded
using the following format:
Yellow
Partial availability;
between 0% and 100%
An availability bar
such as the one in the following figure shows that the resource fluctuated
between being available, partially available, and unavailable over
the most recent time slices.
By default, the availability
bar displays information for the past eight hours. To change the display
range for the availability bar (as well as the metric charts), select
new values in the Metric Display Range fields.
You can select display ranges from four minutes to 120 days.
You can use this same
process to check the availability of any resource.
