Tracking Changes to Configuration Files

You can use SAS Environment Manager to track changes to configuration files for a resource. However, configuration file tracking is not enabled by default. To turn on configuration file tracking for a resource, follow these steps:
  1. Select Resourcesthen selectBrowsethen selectPlatforms or Servers.
  2. Select the resource whose changes in configuration files you want to track.
  3. On the page for the resource, select Edit in the Configuration Properties area.
  4. On the Configuration Properties page, select the resource_type.config_track.enable check box. This option turns on configuration file tracking.
  5. Specify the files that you want to track in the resource_type.config_track.files field. Separate entries with a comma. You can use regular expressions when specifying files. Refer to the Help text at the bottom of the page to determine the directory where relative paths resolve.

Identifying Inactive Users

SAS Environment Manager identifies users as inactive if they have not logged on in at least 60 days. To identify these users, go to Report Centerthen selectProductsthen selectSAS Environment Managerthen selectNightly Reportsthen selectAudit Reportsthen selectMetadata Client Activity. This report lists all user logon activity, and identifies inactive users.

Finding Your SAS License Expiration Date

To determine the date on which your SAS site license expires, go to Resourcesthen selectBrowsethen selectPlatformsthen selectSAS 9.4 Application Server Tier. The License Expiration field displays the expiration date for your SAS site license. You must be logged in as an administrator to view this information.
You can also select Analyzethen selectEnvironment Snapshot. Specify the system in the Summary Table field, and then select the SAS tab and the License subtab. This tab displays the number of days until license expiration, termination warning, and termination.
