Problem Note 67572: Selections might not reset when you drill out of a hierarchy in a SAS® Visual Analytics geo map report object
Selections might not reset when you drill out of a hierarchy in a SAS Visual Analytics geo map report object.
For example, you might encounter this issue if you complete steps similar to the following:
- Create a report that contains a geo map based on a three-level hierarchy and three key values that display the following items respectively: State, Region, and County. Geo map and text objects are linked so that when you drill down into the geo map hierarchy, key values are updated accordingly.
- In this scenario, select State=Texas on the geo map. Note: Key values display State=TX, Region=1, and County=Anderson respectively.
- Drill down into the hierarchy by double-clicking the map until you reach the last level in the hierarchy. Your report should appear similar to the following. Note: Key values display State=TX, Region=4, and County=Bell respectively.
- Try to return to the top level of the hierarchy by selecting All Geo Hierarchy in the breadcrumbs. Key values should display State=TX, Region=1, and County=Anderson respectively, as they did at the beginning. However, you might see State=TX, Region=4 (instead of 1), and County=Bell (instead of Anderson). This behavior indicates that key values have not been reset correctly when drilling out of the geo map hierarchy, as shown below:
This issue mainly occurs when you switch to View mode, drill down to the last level of the hierarchy, and close and save the report with the hierarchy at the latest level.
If you have an affected report, share your report.xml file with SAS Technical Support.
