Problem Note 66219: SAS® Visual Analytics reports become corrupted and return the message "Could not resolve entity..." after you delete a data source

In SAS Visual Analytics, a report might become corrupted if you delete a data source that is used in the report. The exact behavior depends on your release. In release 7.5, you are able to open the report in SAS Visual Analytics Designer, but you are unable to to open the report in SAS Visual Analytics Viewer. In this scenario, an error similar to the following occurs:

Could not resolve entity: {name:"ds2",type:"DataSource",tid:40121

In SAS® Visual Analytics on SAS® Viya®, you can open the report in both view and edit mode, but you are unable to print. In this scenario, an error similar to the following occur when you print: 

The print failed to generate a PDF.

This problem happens when you perform steps similar to the following:

  1. Create a report with a prompt that uses a parameter.
  2. Duplicate the prompt.
  3. Remove the data source.
