Problem Note 63988: Batch promotion of SAS® Visual Analytics objects fails when X11 is unavailable
When you use batch promotion tools, the ExportPackage command fails to include SAS Visual Analytics objects in the SAS package under the following conditions:
- You use batch promotion tools located in the equivalent directory to SAS-installation-directory/SASPlatformObjectFramework/9.4/.
- X11 is not available.
- You include SAS Visual Analytics objects, such as reports or queries.
In this scenario, SAS reports that the process has finished successfully. A message similar to the following appears in the export log file of the package:
INFO The export process has finished successfully. For more information, view the export log file: /tmp/testing/PlastChir1_exp.log java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.sas.bireport.logical.ReportUtil
A workaround is to use SAS® Management Console to import or export these objects. Ensure that the SAS Visual Analytics logical types are installed as described in SAS Note 55607, "SAS® Management Console might not enable you to use the promotion tools to move SAS® Visual Analytics content objects."
