SAS 9.2, SAS 9.3, and SAS 9.4 include several major releases and revisions that contain new software features and functionality. This SAS Note lists these software features and functionality by version, release, and revision.

 

Notable SAS^® 9.4 Features and Functionality

Revision 16w08: This release of SAS 9.4 (TS1M3) was made available February 2016. It include the following:

• SAS Enterprise Guide 7.12 and SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office 7.12 support Microsoft Office 2016.

Revision 15w29: The fourth major release of SAS 9.4 (TS1M3) was made available July 2015. It includes the following:

• Depot optimization and depot compression.
• Support for suspending and resuming deployments.
• Ended support for subset recipes.

Revision 15w20: This release of SAS 9.4 (TS1M3) was made available May 2015. It includes the following:

• The check for the updates feature in SAS Enterprise Guide 7.11 and SAS Add-In 7.11 for Microsoft Office offers the ability to update to the 7.12 release. See SAS Note 57897: "Enhancements to the check for updates feature in SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® and SAS^® Add-In for Microsoft Office."

Revision 14w32: The third major release of SAS 9.4 (TS1M2) was made available July 2014. It includes the following:

• Introduced a new cleanwork utility alongside the SAS Disk Cleanup Handler. See SAS Note 8786: "The SAS^® Disk Cleanup Handler Utility replaces a SAS^® 9.1 program called cleanworkpc.sas to clean work directories on Windows operating systems."

Revision 13w51: The second major release of SAS 9.4 (TS1M1) was made available December 2013. It includes the following:

• SAS under Windows 32-bit is now supported in SAS 9.4 (it was not in the revisions 13w26 up to 13w51).

Revision 13w26: The first major release of SAS 9.4 (TS1M0) was made available July 2013. It includes the following:

• Stand-alone installers: SAS^® Add-In for Microsoft Office, SAS^® Enterprise Guide^®, SAS^® High-Performance Computing Management Console, SAS^® High-Performance Node

Notable SAS^® 9.3 Features and Functionality

13w30: Support for the Windows 7 Home Premium edition was added for the Education Analytical Suite and released in December 2009.

13w14: This revision was made available April 2013. It includes the following functionality:

• Recipes for subsetting orders for the SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® and SAS^® Add-In for Microsoft Office (both version 5.1)

12w41: This revision was made available October 2012. It includes the following functionality:

• Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 support began for SAS^® Enterprise Guide^® 5.1 and SAS^® Add-In for Microsoft Office 5.1

12w35: The third major release of SAS^® 9.3 (TS1M2) was made available August 2012. It includes the following functionality:

• Hot fixes for SAS^® 9.3 orders

12w35: SAS Download Manager added support for including hot fixes in download.

12w23: This revision was made available June 2012. It includes the following functionality:

• QUIETSTATUS for silent installations introduced.

12w10: This revision was made available March 2012. It includes the following functionality:

• SAS Software Depot Check utility included in depots in the utility/depotcheck folder

10w50: Added support for SAS uninstall wizard.

09w51: Added support for the Windows 7 Home Premium edition for the Education Analytical Suite and released in December 2009.
