Usage Note 55858: Emails that you send from SAS® Digital Marketing via your mail transport agent (MTA) do not include a valid date in the email header
Emails that you send from SAS Digital Marketing via your mail transport agent (MTA) might not include a valid date in the email header. This behavior might cause a third-party spam checker to highlight these emails as spam.
To ensure that a valid date is passed by your MTA, include an email directive in the broadcast content or in an include.xsl file.
Here is an example of an email directive:
!EM_SETHEADER! "Date"
<xsl:variable name="formatter" select="java:text.SimpleDateFormat.new('EEE, d MMMyyyy HH:mm:ss Z (z)')"/>
<xsl:variable name="date1" select="java:util.Date.new()"/> <xsl:value-of select="java:format($formatter, $date1)"/>
For more information about using email directives in SAS Digital Marketing, see the SAS Digital Marketing: User's Guide for your release.
