Problem Note 55197: An application name set as a grid job option is not passed to LSF

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

SAS® 9.4 enables you to set a Load Sharing Facility (LSF) application profile name as a job option for grid job submissions, using either the JOBOPTS= option of the GRDSVC_ENABLE() function or the Additional Options field in the metadata definition for the SAS Logical Grid Server. This functionality is documented under "Supported Job Options" in the Appendix of Grid Computing in SAS® 9.4, Third Edition.

However, even when set properly, the LSF application profile name is not passed to LSF when the job is submitted to the grid. But if you manually submit a job using the following LSF command and the application profile name (xxxx), the profile name is submitted successfully:

bsub -app xxxx <command>

There is no workaround for this issue.
