Usage Note 50824: How to change the Windows system locale
When you invoke a localized Asian language of SAS, for example SAS® 9.3 (Chinese [Simplified]) on an English windows machine, you might see some question marks in the SAS menu. This is because your Windows system locale has not yet been changed to Simplified Chinese.
To set your system to a different locale, follow the steps below.
This instruction applies to Windows 7 and Windows 2008.
- Select Start ► Control Panel ► Region and Language.
- In the Region and Language dialog box, click the Administrative tab.
- Under Language for non-Unicode programs, click the Change system locale button.
- Select the language and then click OK.
- To restart your computer, click Restart now.
