Usage Note 50062: Using Java 7 with SAS® 9.3 Enterprise BI Server requires an upgrade of the web application server where SAS® web applications are deployed
If you run SAS® 9.3 Enterprise BI Server software and you plan to upgrade to Java 7, then you need to upgrade the version of the web application server on which your SAS web applications are deployed. When you run Java 7, SAS 9.3 Enterprise BI web applications are supported on the following web application servers:
- IBM WebSphere 8.5.0.1
- Oracle WebLogic 12.1.1
- Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 5.2.0
- JBoss Application Server 7.1.1
SAS will continue to support SAS 9.3 Enterprise BI Server software using Java 6 on the supported version of these web application servers as specified on the SAS® 9.3 Support for Web Application Servers and HTTP Servers third-party support web page.
You need to verify the compatibility between the version of your web application server and Java by checking system requirements for the web application server that you are using. Requirements for each of the web application servers are documented on the following web pages:
