The following Warning might occur when you are installing SAS from DVDs on a Windows platform:
The problem is especially likely to occur on a machine that is running the Windows XP operating system.
If you receive this warning, keep clicking the OK button (even as many as five times). This is a timing issue and the system just needs time to recognize the DVD.
As a best practice, instead of installing SAS from the DVDs, create a SAS Software Depot first and then do the installation from the depot. This method is faster and enables you to click Start and walk away, instead of having to stay in front of the PC to insert the DVDs.
