Problem Note 43943: SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server® on Windows might experience problems with performance or appear unresponsive
When using SAS® Scalable Performance Data Server on Windows,
you might find that the system appears unresponsive, or that performance
is slow or that server disconnects occur.
The problem is that the Windows system file cache is consuming all available
memory when the RANDOM ACCESS I/O method is used.
The file cache manager keeps all of the data pages open until all available memory is consumed.
Refer to
Problem Note 39615 for a complete explanation and to access
a hot fix that corrects the problem.
In addition to applying that hot fix, you must upgrade to the latest maintenance release of SAS Scalable Performance Data Server.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix
that applies the upgrade.
