Problem Note 41741: Performance degradation related to change in SQLDA definition
Using the LIBNAME engine with hot fix E9D202 for SAS® 9.1.3 and in subsequent SAS releases, SAS/ACCESS® Interface to DB2 on z/OS allows access to DB2 tables that have more than 50 columns or to a table that has columns defined as a DISTINCT data type. The product is set to the maximum that DB2 allows. See SAS Note 17998 for hot fix E9D202.
However, setting the size to the maximum can cause a performance problem.
There is no workaround for this issue.
