To change logging output locations and levels for SAS Marketing Automation 5.3, 5.4, and 5.41, use the SAS^® Foundation Services plug-in for SAS^® Management Console. This plug-in enables you to configure the logging service for many domains, including the com.sas.analytics.crm domain for SAS Marketing Automation.

Follow the steps below in order to create or edit a logging service:

1. In the SAS Management Console navigation tree, select Foundation Services Manager ► Remote Services ► Core.
2. Select Logging Service.
3. Right-click Logging Service and select Properties to display the Logging Service properties dialog box.
4. In the dialog box, click the Service Configuration tab.
5. Click Configuration to display the Logging Service Configuration dialog box.
6. In the dialog box, click the Outputs tab.
7. Click New to add output or select an output. Click Edit to edit the output.
8. Enter the appropriate information for your output destination. Click OK.
9. In the Logging Service Configuration dialog box, click the Contexts tab.
10. Select the context that you want to modify and click Edit.
11. Select the level of warning that you want from the Priority list box. The priority levels are described below in order from least detailed to most detailed (verbose). Each message priority setting includes all of the messages from the less-detailed levels above it in this list.
    
    
    • FATAL displays severe errors that usually cause the application to stop execution.
    • ERROR displays errors that are not so severe that they prevent the application from continuing execution.
    • WARN displays potentially concerning situations. Warnings generally require further investigation by an administrator to determine whether they warrant concern.
    • INFO displays informational messages that document the progress of the application.
    • DEBUG displays information about the events that are most useful for debugging an application.
12. Clear the Chained check box.
13. Click OK to save the Logging Service Context configuration to the metadata repository.
