Usage Note 37128: Changing the temporary workspace folder for SASĀ® Web Report Studio
You can change the temporary workspace folder for SAS Web Report Studio. The default location depends on your release and your web application server. In release 4.4_M3, the default location is similar to <sas-config-dir>\Lev1\Web\WebAppServer\SASServerx_y\work\Catalina\localhost\SASWebReportStudio\sas.wrs\sas.wrs.tmpfiles
.
Version 4.2 and later
In version 4.2 and later, complete the following steps to change the temporary workspace folder location.
- In SAS® Management Console, log in with a user who has access to the Configuration Manager plug-in.
- On the Plug-ins tab, navigate to Application Management ► Configuration Manager ► (SAS Application Infrastructure ►) Web Report Studio 4.x.
- Right-click and select Properties to open the Web Report Studio 4.x Properties dialog box.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click Add to open the Define New Property dialog box.
- For the Property Name, enter
wrs.io.tmpdir
- For the Property Value, enter a fully qualified path to the preferred location.
- Click OK twice to exit both dialog boxes and save the changes.
- To enforce the new setting, restart your web application server.
Version 3.1
Note: The change is made in the LocalProperties.xml file. If you do not have a LocalProperties.xml file, see SAS Note 32858.
To change the temporary workspace folder for SAS Web Report Studio 3.1, follow the steps below.
- Locate the LocalProperties.xml file for SAS Web Report Studio (see SAS Note 32858 for the location).
- Use a plain-text editor to add the following XML tag to the file:
<sas.webreportstudio.file.cleanup.temp.directory>
C:\Temp\WRSTEMP\sas.wrs.tmpfiles
</sas.webreportstudio.file.cleanup.temp.directory>
- To enforce the new setting, restart your web application server.
