Usage Note 37978: Enabling debug logging in SAS® Customer Intelligence 5.3
To change output locations and levels for the logging in SAS Customer
Intelligence 5.3, you need to use the SAS® Foundation Services
plug-in for SAS® Management Console to create and use a logging
context for the com.sas.analytics.crm
domain.
To change log output locations and logging level (priority), perform the
following steps:
- In the SAS Management Console navigation tree, select Foundation
Services Manager ► Remote Services ►
Core.
- Select Logging Service.
- Right-click Logging Service and select
Properties to display the Logging Service properties dialog
box.
- In the dialog box, click the Service Configuration tab.
- Click Configuration to display the Logging Service
Configuration dialog box.
- In the dialog box, click the Outputs tab. Then click
New to add output, or select an output and click
Edit to edit the output.

- Enter the appropriate information for your output destination. Click
OK.
- In the Logging Service Configuration dialog box, click the
Contexts tab. Then select the context that you want to modify
and click Edit.
- Select the level of warning that you want from the Priority
list box. Available warning levels are as follows:
- ERROR displays error events that might enable the
application to continue running.
- WARN displays potentially harmful situations.
- INFO displays informational messages that highlight the
progress of the application.
- DEBUG displays the informational events that are most
useful for debugging an application.
- FATAL displays severe error events that will probably cause
the application to abort.
- Clear the Chained check box.
- Click OK to save the Logging Service Context configuration
to the metadata repository.
