Problem Note 36986: The error "the application was unable to load the SAS environment definitions..." appears when you log on to certain SAS® products

When logging on to SAS® Enterprise Miner™, SAS® Forecast Studio, or SAS® Model Manager, you might receive the following error:
The application was unable to load the SAS environment definitions. The file location or file contents might be invalid. Please contact your administrator for assistance.
If you receive this error, verify that the Web application server (Jboss, WebLogic, WebSphere) is running. See SAS® 9.3 Support for Web Application Servers and HTTP Servers for more information about Web application servers.
To verify whether the server is running, check the appropriate server logs for your Web application server installation. See your instructions.html file for log location information. Your instructions.html file is found in "SAS/Config Dir/Lev1/Documents".
You can also go to the links below to verify whether the Web application server is running:
JBoss: http://hostname:8080
WebSphere: http://server:9060/ibm/console
WebLogic: http://server:7501/console
Note: the examples above are using default ports. Your port number might be different. The ports for your site are listed in the instructions.html file mentioned above.
