Problem Note 36212: An installation failure message appears when installing the SASĀ® 9.2 Integration Technologies client on a Windows 2008 server
Before you attempt to install the SAS Integration Technologies client for the Windows operating environment, read the
System Requirements to determine if your system meets the requirements.
Important: This SAS note applies to installing only
the SAS 9.2 Integration Technologies client on a Windows 2008 Server.

The following installation failure message might display when you are installing the SAS Integration Technologies client on a Windows 2008 Server:
If you encounter this message, click Retry.
Retry activates the interactive installation prompts to install the client. Continue by clicking Next on all dialog boxes that are presented.
A Self-Registration Error occurs:
Click OK.
The InstallShield Wizard Complete window appears.
Click Finish.
The Deployment Complete window appears.
Click Next, and then click Finish.
The SAS Integration Technologies client is now installed, usable, and works properly.
The register error occurs only on Windows 2008 on a file that is not required for complete functionality. A fix is planned for a future release of the software.
