Under the following conditions, opening a report in the SAS Information Delivery Portal might generate an HTTP Status 500 error:
This behavior only occurs if Hot Fix 14 or later for SAS® Web Report Studio and SAS Web Report Viewer are installed, and if the same browser session is used.
As a workaround, you can open reports in a new browser session instead of using the existing browser session. Another alternative is to place the following property in the LocalProperties.xml file.
Note: If you do not have a LocalProperties.xml file, see SAS Note 32858 "SAS® Web Report Studio application properties should be maintained in a local file that is not affected by re-deployments".
After adding this property, users still must wait at least 3 seconds before opening another report after returning to the Portal from SAS Web Report Viewer.
