The SAS^® Financial Management Add-in for Microsoft Excel install or system requirements wizard might repeatedly show the message:

A reboot is pending

This will prevent the install from completing and the SAS Solutions option will be missing from the Excel menu bar.

If the install does not complete, it might be due to the Java 2 Runtime Environment (JRE) version installed on the client machine. The install and requirements wizards require JRE 1.4.2_09.

Determine the Java version by entering the following in a command window at the root directory on the client:

c:>java -version

The 1.4.2_09 JRE version can be downloaded for free from the Oracle website.

Once the correct JRE is installed, you should be able to successfully install the SAS Financial Management Add-in for Microsoft Excel on the client machine.
