Usage Note 23618: Why am I getting "Describe errors" when reading XML files
not created with SAS?
With the shipped Release 8.2, the XML engine can only read generic and IOM
files. Attempting to read free-form XML files will generate errors. This has
been adressed by a download for Release 8.2 and is fixed in SAS 9. Get all the details here:
