Usage Note 20062: "ERROR: No metadata objects found matching the specified URI" message
when running a Stored Process
When running a Stored Process with the Stored Process Server, you may
receive the following error message when referencing a library if the
"SAS General Server" does not have Metadata authorization to read the
library.
ERROR: No metadata objects found matching the specified URI.
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.
For example, suppose you have the following LIBNAME statement which uses
the Metadata engine.
libname testlib meta library="testlib" metarepository="Foundation"
metaserver=aa.bb.com port=8651;
Then, the "SAS General Server" (whose login account is usually "sassrv")
must have "ReadMetadata" and "Read" authorization to access the library.
Using your SAS Management Console, under "Data Library Manager", select
your library. Then, select "Properties" and select the "Authorization"
tab. Add "SAS General Servers" and select "ReadMetadata" and "Read" for
this group.
When running a Stored Process, if you issue a LIBNAME statement that
uses the Metadata engine, then the "SAS General Server" login account
(usually "sassrv") will be the default user account unless you specify
another userid on the LIBNAME statement. For example, if you specify
the following parameters on your LIBNAME statement, then the "sasdemo"
account will be used when accessing the library.
userid="sasdemo" password="xxxx"
If the SAS library does not exist, this will also cause the error
message:
ERROR: No metadata objects found matching the specified URI
