Usage Note 18638: Renewing the license for Platform Job Scheduler version 5.31 and
Platform Process Manager version 3.0 or higher
To renew the license for Platform Job Scheduler version 5.31, first rename the file PLATFORMJSnnnn.TXT to LICENSE.DAT. Then copy the LICENSE.DAT file to the following two directories:
For Windows servers:
-- C:\LSF_51\conf
-- C:\Program Files\Platform Computing\JobScheduler\conf
To renew the license for Platform Process Manager version 3.0 or
higher (running with Platform LSF version 6.0), rename the file as
described previously. However, you should copy the LICENSE.DAT file
to the following two directories:
-- C:\LSF_6.0\conf
-- C:\Program Files\Platform Computing\Platform Process Manager\conf
After copying the files, you need to restart the following Windows
services:
-- LSF Cluster1 Lim
-- LSF Cluster1 Res
-- LSF Cluster1 SBD
-- Platform Job Scheduler version 5.31 or Platform Process Manager
version 3.0 or higher (if you are running Platform LSF 6.0)
A reboot of the Windows server may be required, if restarting the above Windows services does not update the license information.
For Unix servers:
The location where the new license file should be copied is
determined by the following two parameters.
For Platform LSF version 5.1 or Platform LSF version 6.0:
LSF_LICENSE_FILE as specified in LSF_TOP/conf/lsf.conf
where LSF_TOP is the install directory
For Process Manager/JobScheduler version 5.31:
JS_LICENSE_FILE as specified in JS_TOP/conf/js.conf
where JS_TOP is the install directory for Platform Process
Manager version 3.0 or higher or Platform Job Scheduler
version 5.31
To obtain a Platform Computing license file, named PLATFORMJSnnnn.TXT,
refer to SAS Note 024546.
