Usage Note 49790: Applying or renewing the license for Platform RTM for SAS®
Platform RTM for SAS uses a copy of your SAS Installation Data (SID) file as the license for your grid control server. This license file contains a PRODNUM447 product line with a future expiration date. To update the Platform RTM license, you must have a valid license for PRODNUM447.
To update the license in RTM:
- Log on to Platform RTM and click the config tab.
- In the left pane, under Cacti Configuration, click the Licensing link. The License Info page appears, which should contain the statement You have a valid SAS license.
- If you can navigate to the latest license file from the machine on which your browser is running, click the Browse button to locate and upload the license file. If you cannot navigate to the latest license file but you can view the file's contents, copy the contents and paste it into the License Text field.
- Click the Save button to update your RTM license.
Additional Notes
- You can also apply the same license that you use for Platform RTM to apply to your Platform LSF cluster. To do that, check the Update LSF License check box from the appropriate menu for that particular SAS LSF cluster. The SAS OEM LSF license works with either a grid license (containing the PRODNUM447 product) or with a Platform Suite for SAS® license ((containing the PRODNUM151 product). However, RTM must have a valid license for PRODNUM447.
- Future releases of the Platform Suite for SAS in a grid environment might have both of these product numbers in the same license file. In this case, you can also update the license for Platform Process Manager by pointing the JS_LICENSE_FILE= option in the js.conf file to the LSF license file in the shared configuration folder for LSF and the grid. Using this method, one license application from Platform RTM updates all IBM Platform products in the grid.
