Usage Note 18353: Installation order for SAS®, SAS® Learning Edition 4.1, and SAS® Enterprise Guide® 4.1 determines the version of SAS used and can limit the number of observations
When you install SAS Learning Edition 4.1, SAS 9.1, and SAS
Enterprise Guide 4.1, the last version of SAS that was installed is the
version that is used by SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1.
For example, suppose you install in this order: SAS 9.1, SAS Enterprise
Guide 4.1, and SAS Learning Edition 4.1. Because SAS Learning Edition
4.1 was installed last, SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 will use SAS 9.1, which
was installed with SAS Learning Edition 4.1.
In addition, SAS data sets in SAS Learning Edition 4.1 are limited, by
default, to 1500 observations. If you install SAS Learning Edition 4.1
AFTER you install SAS Enterprise Guide, the data sets in SAS Enterprise
Guide 4.1 will also be limited to 1500 observations.
To uninstall SAS Learning Edition 4.1 and to re-establish the connection
to SAS 9.1 without the limitation on the number of observations, see
SAS Note-018323.
