Usage Note 18323: SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 does not work after uninstalling SAS Learning
Edition 4.1
If you uninstall SAS Learning Edition 4.1 from a SAS 9.1,
SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1, and SAS Learning Edition 4.1 installation,
SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 will no longer be functional.
Error messages might appear that indicate SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1
cannot find SAS. Here are some example error messages that might appear
in SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1:
A connection to the server "Local" could not be established.
A connection could not be made to the requested resource: Local
To restore SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1 functionality after uninstalling
SAS Learning Edition 4.1, follow these steps:
1. Click Start>Run.
2. Type and submit the following three commands:
"C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\sas.exe" /regserver
"C:\Program Files\SAS\Enterprise Guide 4\SEGuide.exe" /register
(Note: The following command must be on one line.)
"C:\Program Files\SAS\Shared Files\BIClientTasks\4\RegTasks.exe"
/register
