Usage Note 13084: Troubleshooting SAS Intelligence Servers (Part II)
The following is a list of objects, names, and locations, including
description and notes to help you troubleshoot your environment for
Share, OLAP, and Connect servers and the Portal:
Share Server
a. sasv9_ShareServer.cfg -
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\ShareServer
Share Server main configuration file. It calls sasv9.cfg in
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain
b. libraries.sas - C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\ShareServer
File used to pre-allocate SAS libraries for the SAS/Share Server.
The Share Server must be restarted to pick up changes or additions
to this file.
c. shareServer#d#b#y.log -
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\ShareServer\logs
A new log file is created each day that the server is used due
to the rollover=auto option in the configuration file.
OLAP Server
a. sasv9_OLAPServer.cfg - C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\OLAPServer\
OLAP Server main configuration file. It calls sasv9.cfg in
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain
b. OLAPServer#d#b#y.log -
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\OLAPServer\logs
A new log file is created each day the server is used due to the
rollover=auto option in the configuration file.
Connect Server
a. OMRConfig.xml - C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\ConnectServer
Connect Server's main configuration file. Called by
SASAPP\ConnectServer\ConnectServer.bat. This file contains login
credentials for the trusted user and the name of the metadata
server machine. The Connect server must be stopped and restarted
to pick up changes to this file.
b. sasv9.cfg - C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\ConnectServer\
StartConnectServer.bat calls
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\ConnectServer\
ConnectServer.bat which calls
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\sasconnect.bat which calls
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\sas.bat which calls
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\sas_internal.bat which references
this configuration file.
c. spawner.log - C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\SASMain\ConnectServer\logs
Connect Spawner log file
Portal
a. configure_wik.bat - C:\Program Files\SAS\Web\Portal2.0.1
Creates the Portal.war, SASStoredProcess.war, and sasweb.war files
and obtains its properties from install.properties.
b. Portal.war - C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\web\webapps\
c. system.properties.config -
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\web\Deployments\Portal
d. login.conf - C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\web\Deployments\Portal
Metadata server access information

Log4j file for logging the Portal. Logs are written to portal.log.
f. logging_config_stp.xml -

Log4j file for logging the Stored Process Web Application
Portlet. Logs written to stp.log
g. logging_config_prefs.xml -
C:\SAS\<configdir>\Lev1\web\Deployments\Portal
Log4j file for logging the SAS Preferences application. Logs
written to prefs.log
