Working with Suggestion-Based Match Definitions in Customize

In Customize, two node types are available for match definitions to support suggestion-based matching functionality: the Suggestions node and the Match Score Threshold node. For instructions for configuring these node types, see the following topics:

The following example shows the middle portion of a match definition diagram, with Suggestions nodes configured for three tokens.

The following example shows the end portion of a match definition diagram where the Match Score Threshold node is located.

A match definition is considered "suggestion based" if the Suggestions placeholder group of any token contains a Suggestions node. A newly created match definition will have empty Suggestions placeholder groups. Thus, it is still possible to create traditional match definitions, by not inserting Suggestions nodes in any tokens.

An example of a suggestion-based match definition is Name (with Suggestions) in the QKB for Contact Information (CI) 2011A, ENUSA locale. For additional information on this match definition, refer to the QKB CI 2011A online Help.
