The SAS Text Miner Server requires Base SAS which is required but licensed separately.
SAS/SECURE - (included with Base SAS starting with version 9.4).
SAS Studio - Single User (Windows 32-bit and x64, servers and workstations only).
SAS Studio Basic - (AIX, HP, IPF, Linux for x64, Solaris SPARC, and Solaris for x64, Windows for x64 server only).
SAS/STAT - (required for SAS Enterprise Miner, but not included).
SAS Enterprise Miner Server - (required, but not included).
If not specified, by default, SAS Text Analytics Language of choice for English (USA) will be included.
SAS recommends deploying SAS Metadata Server on a 64-bit host system. The SAS Metadata Server is multi-threaded, and multi-core server hardware (typically quad core or higher) is therefore recommended.
A dedicated machine for the SAS Metadata Server is recommended to simplify tuning, management, and diagnostics, but is not required. The disk I/O performance of any server-class system should be sufficient. Memory requirements are highly dependent on the product mix and usage, but 8 GB of RAM are sufficient for most large deployments. For many deployments, 4 GB of RAM are sufficient and should be considered a minimum, unless the specific deployment is tested and verified to require less memory.
