System Requirements
SAS® Asset Performance Analytics 6.1 (Distributed Mode)

Overview

SAS Asset Performance Analytics requires SAS Quality Analytics Foundation.

Server Tier Requirements

SAS Asset Performance Analytics Server

Please select a target environment:

Base SAS is required but not included.

SAS Asset Performance Analytics Server requires but does not include SAS Quality Analytics Foundation.

The following products are required by SAS Asset Performance Analytics Server and included with SAS Quality Analytics Foundation:

  • three SAS Metadata Bridges of choice, plus General Industry Standards which is included automatically
  • two standard SAS/ACCESS engines of choice
  • SAS Enterprise BI Server
  • SAS Data Integration Server

SAS Asset Performance Analytics Server includes your choice of one of the following:

  • SAS/ACCESS Interface to Hadoop and SAS/ACCESS Interface to  Impala (both are required for Hadoop)
  • SAS/ACCESS Interface to SAP HANA
  • SAS Scalable Performance Data Server

SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server (Distributed Mode) on Linux for x64

SAS Products installed to this machine:
  • Base SAS 9.4
  • SAS LASR Analytic Server 2.3
  • SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting 6.4
  • SAS/CONNECT 9.4

SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server includes a standard SAS/ACCESS engine of choice if using Hadoop. Greenplum and Teradata appliances are not supported.

For Hadoop, commodity hardware is required.

SAS recommends that you deploy SAS Metadata Server on a 64-bit host system. The SAS Metadata Server is multi-threaded and multi-core server hardware (typically quad core or higher) is recommended. A dedicated machine for the SAS Metadata Server is recommended to simplify tuning, management, and diagnostics, but is not required. The disk I/O performance of any server-class system should be sufficient. Memory requirements are highly dependent on the product mix and usage, but 8GB of RAM is sufficient for most large deployments. 4GB of RAM is sufficient for many deployments and should be considered a minimum unless the specific deployment is tested and verified to require less memory.

Client Tier Requirements

SAS Asset Performance Analytics Client

Please select a target environment:

SAS Enterprise Miner Personal Client includes a SAS Text Analytics Language of choice. This must be the same choice that you made for SAS Text Miner Server.

SAS Enterprise Content Categorization Studio Client

Please select a target environment:

SAS Enterprise Content Categorization Studio Client contains a SAS Text Data Language Pack for the customer's native language (if not English) at no additional charge. This must be installed on the same machine as SAS Content Categorization Studio.

SAS Visual Analytics Mobile Clients

SAS Visual Analytics Mobile clients are only available via free download from app stores. They are supported on the Apple iPad and Android tablets.
