SAS Insurance Analytics Architecture Server includes the following software:

• A SAS/ACCESS Engine of choice (with specific integration with DB2, Oracle, Teradata, Microsoft SQL Server, Netezza, Oracle, and Greenplum)
• A second SAS/ACCESS Engine, as available per platform
• Three SAS Metadata Bridges of choice, plus General Industry Standards which is included automatically

SAS Insurance Analytics Architecture Enterprise BI Server includes SAS Enterprise BI Server. Please see the SAS Enterprise BI Server system requirements for the latest information about its requirements.

SAS Insurance Analytics Architecture Server includes SAS OLAP Server. Please see the SAS OLAP Server system requirements for the latest information about its requirements.

SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server includes a standard SAS/ACCESS engine of choice (Greenplum, Teradata, and Hadoop).

Note: Both the Distributed Mode and Non-distributed Mode of SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server include a Non-distributed Mode SAS LASR Analytic Server.

However, only the Distributed Mode of SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server includes the Distributed Mode SAS LASR Analytic Server.

SAS recommends that you deploy SAS Metadata Server on a 64-bit host system. The SAS Metadata Server is multi-threaded and multi-core server hardware (typically quad core or higher is recommended).A dedicated machine for the SAS Metadata Server is recommended to simplify tuning, management, and diagnostics, but is not required.

The disk I/O performance of any server-class system should be sufficient. Memory requirements are highly dependent on the product mix and usage, but 8GB of RAM is sufficient for most large deployments. For many deployments, 4GB of RAM is sufficient and should be considered a minimum, unless the specific deployment is tested and verified to require less memory.

SAS Metadata Server is available upon request allowing one installation or cluster on three or more recommended platforms. 

SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server includes a standard SAS/ACCESS engine of choice.

Note: Both the Distributed Mode and Non-distributed Mode of SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server include a Non-distributed Mode SAS LASR Analytic Server.

When you install your SAS solution software, SAS Deployment Manager installs and configures the required web application servers and web servers.

To install these servers, select one of the supported operating systems for the middle tier.

Note: These servers cannot be installed on the z/OS or 32-bit Windows platforms.

SAS Visual Analytics Mobile Clients (SAS Mobile BI) are available for the Apple iPad and Android tablets via free downloads from app stores.

When you select a web browser on your client machines, be aware that SAS Insurance Analytics Architecture deploys SAS Common Components 2.4 for HTML, which has a separate set of supported web browsers. Most recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Apple Safari, and Google Chrome are supported.
