From: SAS Federation Server Secure 4.1 and SAS Federation Server 4.1 :
When using the SAP (R3) driver, the SAP Kernel Release 4.6C or higher is required. The Driver for SAP for Windows and UNIX requires the 64-bit SAP Unicode RFC library, Release 7.20, which is provided by SAP AG.
From: SAS Federation Server Secure 4.1 and SAS Federation Server 4.1 :
When using the SAPHANA driver, it requires the ODBC driver (64-bit) for SAP HANA from SAP. The ODBC driver version 1.00 is part of the SAP HANA Client.
From: SAS Federation Server Manager 4.1 :
The SAS Federation Server Manager requires that a minimum of Java 7 be installed on the host before doing the SAS deployment. Not doing so will cause SAS Federation Server Manager to not install. Please make sure that Java is installed prior to starting the SAS deployment process.

SAS recommends that you deploy SAS Metadata Server on a 64-bit host system. The SAS Metadata Server is multi-threaded and multi-core server hardware (typically quad core or higher) is recommended. A dedicated machine for the SAS Metadata Server is recommended to simplify tuning, management, and diagnostics, but is not required. The disk I/O performance of any server-class system should be sufficient. Memory requirements are highly dependent on the product mix and usage, but 8GB of RAM is sufficient for most large deployments. 4GB of RAM is sufficient for many deployments and should be considered a minimum unless the specific deployment is tested and verified to require less memory.
