The OUTPUT statement creates a SAS data set that contains statistics that PROC NPAR1WAY computes. You identify which statistics to store in the output data set by specifying outputoptions in the OUTPUT statement. For more information, see the description of the OUTPUT statement.
The output data set contains one observation for each analysis variable for each BY group. (You can specify the analysis variables in the VAR statement.) The OUTPUT data set includes the following variables:
BY variables, if you use a BY statement
_VAR_, which identifies the analysis variable
variables that contain the statistics
When you specify an outputoption in the OUTPUT statement, the output data set contains the test statistic and associated values from the analysis that you specify. The associated values might include standardized statistics, one and twosided pvalues, exact pvalues, degrees of freedom, and confidence limits. If you request an exact test for the specified analysis by using the EXACT statement, the output data set includes the exact pvalues. The statistics that are included also depend on the classification of the data. Some statistics are available only for twosample data (where the CLASS variable groups the data into two classes); other statistics are available only for multisample data.
Table 83.5 lists variable names and descriptions or the statistics that are available in the output data set.
Monte Carlo estimates of exact pvalues, multiple comparison statistics, and stratified analysis statistics are not available in this output data set. You can store any table that PROC NPAR1WAY produces in a SAS data set by using the Output Delivery System (ODS).
