Locates a row that is identified by the NOTE function

is the identifier that was assigned when
the table was opened. If table-id is invalid,
the program halts.

note-id
-
is the identifier that was assigned to the
row by the NOTE function, or -1 to go to the previous non-deleted row
in the table. If note-id is invalid, the program
halts and sends a message to the log.

POINT locates the row identified by note-id, which is a value that is returned from NOTE. The Table
Data
Vector is not updated until a "read" is performed by FETCH or
FETCHOBS.
Call NOTE to obtain a row ID for the last row that was
read in the SAS table MYDATA. Call POINT to point to the row that corresponds
to note-id. Call FETCH to return the row that
is marked by the pointer.
