A publication channel is a channel that has been established using
the SAS Publishing Framework and which can be used to publish information
to users and applications.
To view
content that has been published to a publication channel:
-
Navigate
to a portlet that contains the channel that you want to view. Publication
channels are identified by the
icon.
Note: Each portal
user has a personal Publication Channel Subscriptions portlet. This
portlet provides a convenient way to view content published to channels
to which you have subscribed. If you do not have this portlet on one
of your portal pages, then you can add the portlet.
See Add a Publication Channel Subscriptions Portlet.
You can also use the search tool to find the channel that you want
to view.

viewer displays the name of the channel and a list of packages that
have been published to the channel.

appears in the package viewer. The items that are contained in the
package are listed in the left frame, and a description of the package
is in the right frame. The icon next to each item indicates the content
type. For an explanation of the icons,
see What the Portal Contains.
