The following table lists the types
of content that can be accessed through the SAS Information Delivery
Portal. Your installation of the portal might include some or all
of these types of content. The content you see depends on which types
your portal administrator has made available and which SAS software
products your organization has installed.
The first column in
the table shows the icon that is associated with each content type.
When content items are listed in a portlet or in the search results,
the icon indicates the item's content type. You can move your
cursor over the icon to see the description of the content type displayed
in a pop-up box.

a Web application that
has been made accessible from the portal.
|
|
|
|
|
|
a user-friendly definition
of physical data sources that enables business users to query a data
warehouse to meet specific business needs. Information maps might
be available to view in the portal if your organization has installed
SAS Information Map Studio.

|
content that is accessible
using a universal resource locator (URL). As a portal user, you can
add your own links to the portal.
|
|
|
a collection of structured
and unstructured content that has been published using the SAS Publishing
Framework. You can view published packages in the portal.
|
|
|
a page in the SAS Information
Delivery Portal that contains portlets. Each page is represented by
a tab in the portal's navigation bar. You can create, add, edit,
rearrange, and remove pages in your personal portal. In addition,
pages can be shared either publicly or with a group of users.

|
a rectangular component
of the SAS Information Delivery Portal in which content and links
to content are displayed. A page can contain any number of portlets.
You can create, add, edit, rearrange, and remove portlets on your
personal portal pages.

|
a channel that has been
established using the SAS Publishing Framework and which can be used
to publish information to users and applications. You can use the
portal to subscribe to, view the contents of, and publish content
to publication channels.

a report that has been
stored in the SAS Report Model format. Reports are available for viewing
in either SAS Web Report Viewer or SAS Web Report Studio, depending
on the software that your organization has installed.

|
a SAS program that is
stored in a central location and is available to be executed from
the portal at your request. Stored processes create reports that includes
the most current available data. The stored process might display
an input form that enables you to customize the report contents.

|
a channel that provides
syndicated, continuously updated Web content. Syndication channels
are based on the RSS (Rich Site Summary) standard XML format.
