Create a New Collection Portlet Using Bookmarked Items

If you have bookmarked any content items, then you can include one or more of these items in a new collection portlet. The items appear in the new portlet as a list of links.
To create a new collection portlet using content items that you have bookmarked, follow these steps:
  1. If the content items have not yet been bookmarked, then you must first find them and bookmark them so that they appear in your Bookmarks portlet. For details, see the following topics:
  2. In the Bookmarks portlet, select the check box next to the items that you would like to include in the new portlet.
Note: If your Bookmarks portlet does not appear on any of your portal pages, then you can add it. For instructions, see Add Your Bookmarks Portlet.
  3. Click Create Portlet.
This option is available only if all the selections can be added to a collection portlet. For a list of items that can be added to a collection portlet, see About Collection Portlets.
  4. On the Create a New Portlet page, enter descriptive information about the portlet:

Note: To ensure efficient searching, develop a standard list of keywords and use these keywords consistently.
  5. The Items box displays a list of the bookmarked content items that you selected. The items are listed in the order that they will appear in the new portlet. If you want to change an item's position, select the item and click the up or down arrow to reposition it on the list.
