FREQ Statement

FREQ variable ;

The FREQ statement names a variable that contains the frequency of occurrence of each observation. The GENESELECT procedure treats an observation as if it appears $\text{[math]}$ times, where $\text{[math]}$ is the value of the FREQ variable for the observation. The value of $\text{[math]}$ can be fractional to indicate a partial observation. If the value of $\text{[math]}$ is close to zero, negative, or missing, the observation is ignored. When the FREQ statement is not specified, each observation is assigned a frequency of one.
