SAS Package Reader |
Note: Because of changes in Java's zip file support, the SAS Package Reader application does not run under Release 1.3.0 of the JRE. Java releases 1.3.0_01 and later address the issue.
The Microsoft JVM, wjview, is provided in the Microsoft Windows operating environment. If your system runs a version of Microsoft JVM that is earlier than Release 5.00.3802, then the installation program for the SAS Package Reader application will automatically prompt you to upgrade your copy.
You can specify a Java interpreter other than the Microsoft JVM. If you use a Java interpreter other than the Microsoft default, you must specify a valid class path option.
For package entries that are viewable via a Web browser, you must have a Web browser installed on your system. All files, with the exception of SAS data sets, are passed to the Web browser for viewing. For example, if you are trying to read a file that is in Portable Document Format (.pdf) and you do not have Acrobat Reader installed, the browser will be unable to read the file and will prompt you for a location to which the file can be saved.
