Yes. SYSTEM 2000 software runs under all releases of the IBM OS/390 operating system.
Your SYSTEM 2000 application programs do not need to be recompiled to run in an OS/390 environment. Execution of a SYSTEM 2000 application program under OS/390 gives the same results as under MVS/XA.
For Version 1, you must be running at least Version 2, Release 8 (V2R8), if you want to take advantage of the extended VSAM capability, which allows database File 6 to be up to 8 billion characters.
