Usage Note 22217: Finding your SAS® release and SAS analytical product release
Should you need to contact SAS Technical Support, we can better assist you if you can provide the SAS release and TS Level that you are running.
SAS release
You can find the SAS® release you are using in the notes that appear at the beginning of the SAS Log. For example, assuming that the SAS Log has not been cleared, the following notes show that SAS 9.4 TS1M3 is running:
NOTE: Copyright (c) 2002-2012 by SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA.
NOTE: SAS (r) Proprietary Software 9.4 (TS1M3)
You can also find the SAS release by clicking Help: About SAS.
The TS Level indicates the maintenance level within a release of SAS. In the above example, the TS Level TS1M3
indicates that this is maintenance level 3 of SAS release 9.4. Each maintenance release provides fixes for problems that have been discovered since the first release of the version. For more on fixes, see the Hot Fixes page.
Product release
You can find the release of the SAS analytical product (SAS/STAT, SAS/ETS, SAS/IML, SAS/QC, and so on) you are using in the next few lines of your SAS Log. For example, the following lines show that you are using the 14.1 release of the SAS/STAT, SAS/ETS, SAS/IML, and SAS/QC analytical products.
NOTE: Updated analytical products:
SAS/STAT 14.1
SAS/ETS 14.1
SAS/IML 14.1
SAS/QC 14.1
Use the product release to find the product documentation you need at the SAS/STAT documentation page.
