Resident Library Product

The SAS/C Resident Library Product is a subset of the SAS/C Compiler and Library. This product enables sites to develop C programs for both the MVS and CMS platforms without having a full, licensed version of the SAS/C Compiler and Library on both platforms. The SAS/C Resident Library Product includes portions of the resident and transient libraries as well as the COOL and CLINK utilities so that you can link and run your programs on the platform that does not have the full version of the SAS/C Compiler and Library. You cannot, however, compile your programs on the platform that has only a SAS/C Resident Library Product license. Compilation must be performed on the platform that has the full SAS/C Compiler and Library license.
