Gender Analysis Definitions

Gender analysis definitions specify data and logic that can be used to determine the gender of an individual's name.

You might want to use a gender analysis definition if you are preparing to generate salutations for each of a list of names, or if you want to perform gender-based analytics on your data source.

The output of a gender analysis definition is typically a one-letter code indicating a gender value. For example, possible outputs from a gender analysis definition might be M, F, or U (for Unknown). Here are a few examples of results you might see when using a gender analysis definition:
