Plot Area Properties
Position the mouse pointer in the Plot Area and right-click to display a context menu. On the context menu, click Plot Area Properties. IML Studio displays a dialog box containing the
following tabs:
- Line Styles
This tab enables you to change the appearance of the lines. After changing any of the line attributes, you must click the large left-pointing arrow to apply the changes to the Lines list.
Note that the changes are not actually applied to the plot until you click either OK or Apply.
This tab provides the following controls:
- Lines
- This list box displays the lines in the plot. You can select one or more items in the list to change their properties.
- Attributes: Style
- This drop-down list specifies the style for the selected lines.
- Attributes: Width
- This drop-down list specifies the width for the selected lines.
- Attributes: Color
- This drop-down list specifies the color for the selected lines.
- Attributes: Marker
- The Marker drop-down list sets the markers for the line. The default marker is the marker shown in the data table for each observation. Line markers are independent from observation
markers.
- Attributes: Connect observations
- This check box specifies whether the line connects adjacent observations with a line segment.
- Attributes: Show observations
- This check box specifies whether observations are shown along the line.
- Attributes: Sort observations
- This check box specifies whether observations along the line are sorted according to the value of the X variable.
For a discussion of the remaining tabs, see General Plot Properties.
