General Plot Properties

Each plot has properties that you can set. If there is more than one plot of a particular type open, the properties for each plot are set separately.

To set a plot's properties

  1. Make sure the plot's window is the active window.
  2. Move the mouse pointer over the area of the plot window whose properties you want to set.

    See Context Menus for a description of the various areas inside a plot window.

  3. Right-click to display the context menu.
  4. Click the first item in the context menu.

    IML Studio displays the appropriate Properties dialog box.

  5. Use the controls in the dialog box to configure any changes you want to make.
  6. Click either OK or Apply.

Depending on where you click inside the plot's window, IML Studio will display a Properties dialog box for one of the following areas:

Graph Area
This Properties dialog box is the same for all plot types.
Axis Label Area
This Properties dialog box is the same for all plot types.
Axis Area
This Properties dialog box is the same for all plot types.
Plot Area
This Properties dialog box is different for each plot type. There are, however, some tabs that are common to several plot types.
