DataFlux Data Management Studio 2.6: User Guide
The DataFlux Address Update add-on for DataFlux Data Management Studio enables you to use the United States Postal Service (USPS) NCOALinkĀ® system to identify and update address information about customer records. For businesses and organizations with very large North America-based customer information databases, this feature is key for maintaining accurate and up-to-date address information for location-based marketing efforts, direct mail marketing, and similar activities. For more information about this separately-licensed product, see Using the Address Update Add-On.
Some SAS solutions include SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Data Quality Server, and DataFlux software. Many of the features in SAS Data Quality Server and DataFlux software can be used in SAS Data Integration Studio jobs. For example, you can use DataFlux standardization schemes and definitions in SAS Data Integration Studio jobs. You can also execute DataFlux jobs, profiles, and services from SAS Data Integration Studio.
To support SAS solutions that include the software above, you must set the following global option from the main menu in DataFlux Data Management Studio:
Select the following: Tools > Data Management Studio Options > Data Management Server Options > Connect to Data Management Server for SAS.
If you do not set this option, then you will get licensing errors when jobs are submitted to the server.
SAS Business Data Network is a web client that enables you to discover, document, and manage a glossary of business terms. For more information about SAS Business Data Network, see this page on support.sas.com: http://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/dmbdn
If you want to associate SAS Business Data Network terms with DataFlux Data Management Studio jobs, tables, and other objects, you must export lineage data from the active repository for a DataFlux Data Management Server to the SAS Web Infrastructure Platform (WIP). For more information, see Exporting Lineage Data to SAS Web Infrastructure Platform.
The SAS Federation Server is a scalable data server that uses threaded, multi-user, standards-based technology to integrate heterogeneous data sources. The server acts as a hub that provides clients with data by accessing, managing, and sharing SAS data as well as several third-party relational databases. See Adding Federation Server Connections.
You can export lineage data from the active repository for a DataFlux Data Management Server to the SAS Web Infrastructure Platform (WIP). You can then use SAS Lineage Viewer to display the lineage information. For more information, see Exporting Lineage Data to SAS Web Infrastructure Platform.
