SAS Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting is available for both distributed and non-distributed SAS LASR Analytic Server deployments. These system requirements apply to both LASR deployments. The headings below indicate whether components apply to a specific LASR deployment.
You can install the SAS Data Management Advanced Server, SAS Data Quality Advanced Server, SAS Authentication Server, and the SAS Web Studio Server on the same machine or on separate machines.
We recommend installing the SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server on a separate machine.
SAS Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting Server includes two SAS/ACCESS Engines of choice and three Metadata Bridges of choice, plus General Industry Standards, which is included automatically.
SAS Risk Data Management Advanced Server includes two SAS/ACCESS Engines of choice and three Metadata Bridges of choice, plus General Industry Standards, which is included automatically.
You can select either a Quality Knowledge Base Locale of choice or a Quality Knowledge Base for Product Data in the language of choice. SAS Quality Knowledge Base Locale products are included in the software order. SAS Quality Knowledge Base for Product Data products must be downloaded from the SAS Downloads and Hotfixes site.
Select the same language for the SAS Quality Knowledge Base for Product Data and for the similar components on the SAS Data Quality Server.
SAS Data Quality Advanced Server includes a SAS Data Management Contextual Extraction Language Pack in the language of choice. You can also select either a SAS Quality Knowledge Base Locale of choice or a SAS Quality Knowledge Base for Product Data. These must all be in the same language.
SAS Quality Knowledge Base Locale products are included in the software order. However, SAS Quality Knowledge Base for Product Data products must be downloaded from the SAS Downloads and Hotfixes site.
Note: This server is only required if the SAS Data Quality Advanced Server is running on 32-bit Microsoft Windows.
The SAS Business Rules Manager Server is optional for a SAS Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting deployment. If you decide to install it, it is included with your order.
A standard SAS/ACCESS Engine of choice is included--for either Oracle or PostGreSQL.
The SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Server includes a standard SAS/ACCESS engine of choice for transactional data, as available per platform.
Teradata and Greenplum must use the Embedded Process to achieve parallel loading.
Note: Base SAS, SAS/ACCESS, and SAS Visual Analytics can either be installed on the head node of the commodity hardware (symmetric) or on separate hardware from the commodity hardware nodes (asymmetric). This architecture enables you to install the SAS Visual Analytics, Distributed Mode server-tier Base SAS components on Windows for x64 while working with the Linux for x64 LASR Grid.
SAS makes the following recommendations for SAS Metadata Server deployments:
The disk I/O performance of any server-class system should be sufficient. Memory requirements are highly dependent on the product mix and usage, but 8 GB of RAM are sufficient for most large deployments. For many deployments, 4 GB of RAM are sufficient and should be considered a minimum, unless the specific deployment is tested and verified to require less memory.
We recommend installing the SAS Visual Analytics Administration and Reporting Mid-Tier server on a dedicated machine.
SAS Data Management Advanced Studio is limited to five users.
SAS Data Management Advanced Studio includes a SAS Data Management Contextual Extraction Language Pack in the language of choice. You can also select either a Quality Knowledge Base Locale of choice or a Quality Knowledge Base for Product Data in the language of choice. SAS Quality Knowledge Base Locale products are included in the software order. However, SAS Quality Knowledge Base for Product Data products must be downloaded from the SAS Downloads and Hotfixes site.
The language that you select for the SAS Data Management Contextual Extraction Language Pack, the SAS Quality Knowledge Base Locale, and the same SAS Quality Knowledge Base for Product Data must be the same as the language selected for the SAS Data Quality Server.
SAS Visual Analytics Mobile Clients (SAS Mobile BI) are available for the Apple iPad and Android tablets via free downloads from app stores.
