After you select a data set, press the
button to begin your data analysis. Depending on characteristics of your data set, the software may be able to make some decisions about the appropriate analysis. You are prompted for any other information needed. The analysis results are presented graphically and are accompanied by an interpretation that suggests further actions. Analysis of variance tables and other types of results are also available. You can explore the assumptions behind the analysis and make response transformations and delete outliers as necessary. If you are satisfied with the analytical model, you can use it to make predictions.
After analysis of the initial model, you can refine the model using the 'Change analysis' selection from the Locals pull-down menu of the analysis window. Or, you can return to the software's main window and refine the model.
Analyses available with SAS/LAB software include simple linear regression, one-way analysis of variance, analysis of covariance, and multiple regression and ANOVA.
